Emergency Updates

Central Michigan University is operating under normal conditions.

In the event of an emergency, this page will be updated with information for students, faculty, staff and supporters.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

Please note: Weather closures and delays are not considered emergencies and will not be communicated on this page. Please refer to your CMU email and/or CMU social media channels for information related to weather closures and delays.

Media Inquiries

In an emergency, the University will prioritize the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, staff and community members. This may mean that staff are unable to immediately respond to requests for information from journalists. Please use this page as a primary source for the most up-to-date information available about incidents in progress. University Communications staff will respond to media inquiries sent to news@cmich.edu as soon as possible.
